Retreat: Day-1

Hello guys!!

Today was the first day of our three-day retreat at church.

I realized today that my biggest drawback has always been forgetting to put God first in everything I do. I often remember to surrender things to Him only after I've done them, not before. I don't know why I keep forgetting to trust Him from the very beginning. When we surrender ourselves to God, we can see His hand at work in everything we do. From now on, I hope to always put God first, trusting that everything will happen according to His will.

Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you".

Another major takeaway from today’s retreat was forgiveness. I always thought it was easy for me to forgive others, and I believed I had done so. But today, I realized that while I forgive, I never truly forget. By holding on to past memories, I was still carrying emotional baggage, which meant I hadn't fully forgiven.
Today, I choose to completely forgive everyone I struggled to forgive in the past.

Matthew 6:14-15 says, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses".

This retreat has been incredibly meaningful, helping me grow and strengthen my relationship with God.
